A-level students celebrate outstanding results

Dated: 16 August 2012

The A-level results were the College's second best set of results in its history.
In 21 A-level subjects, the pass rate was 100%.
Overall, over a third (34.6%) of all grades were at A* or A, compared with 26.6% nationally across all schools and colleges..
69.1% of grades were A*-B and 86% at A*-C.
The A*-B rate places Woodhouse as the second best performing sixth-form college in the country, according to the Times newspaper.
These figures will revise slightly upwards as re-marks and exam board corrections are made.

77 students undertook an Extended Project Qualification, an independent piece of research worth half an A-level. Almost 60% of these achieved an A*/A grade, and over 75% an A*-B grade.

Principal Keith Murdoch says "Congratulations to all our students. They have worked very hard and deserve this fantastic set of results. We wish them every success for the future".
