Barnet Question Time

Almost 200 young people attended a Barnet Question Time event organised by our very own Linda Epstein and some colleagues from the Barnet Youth Board. On the panel were:

Simon Causer: Superintendent, Barnet Police
Cllr Andrew Harper: Cabinet member in Barnet for Education, Children and Families

Robert McCulloch-Graham: Director of Children Services in Barnet
Dr Sue Sumners: GP Chair of Barnet Clinical Commissioning Group
Teresa Tunnadine: Headteacher at The Compton School
John Burgess: Branch Secretary at UNISON

Questions were posed by members of the audience and covered many topical issues that concern young people in Barnet today. These included questions on policing, local libraries, health reforms and university tuition fees. All the panellists gave a good account of themselves in the face of eloquent and challenging questions from the audience. Lively debates took place at a standard to rival BBC Question Time. All agreed that the event was hugely successful.
