Alumna Amy Brese ranked 3rd in top 150 Future Leaders

Dated: 18 October 2019

The principal received a great email this week from Woodhouse Alumna and student of University of Cambridge,  Amy Brese, who updated us on her incredibly busy and successful life...
"I felt super encouraged by you and many other teachers when I came back a few weeks ago, and so I wanted to update you on some really great news from my end.
Last month, I was ranked 3rd in Powerful Media's top 150 Future Leaders publication for 2019/2020 (sponsored by HSBC) which is to recognize the most outstanding black university students in Britain, who have demonstrated exceptional leadership.
I attended the award ceremony where they revealed the top 10 for the first time. Needless to say I was incredibly chuffed but super honored to have made top 3!
I also have been working on various projects this past summer, one of which was co-organizing theEuropean Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) first TEDx conference as a contracted consultant (they hired me as I've done a lot of work with TEDx as president of TEDx Cambridge). We auditioned lots of amazing bankers and invited some very notable people in the industry to speak and with over 400 joining us on the day, it ended up being a real success!
The Vice president of the bank flew from Ukraine to be present and as the first conference went so well, it is set to become an annual event!
As always, I am hugely grateful to Woodhouse for the great foundation it's given me to go on to pursue these amazing opportunities!"
Huge congratulations Amy and thanks for keeping in touch - Once a Woodhouse student...
