Spanish Firewalk Theatre return with Don Quixote

Dated: 4 February 2016

Woodhouse Spanish students were treated to another amazing performance from the Firewalk Theatre company last week, with their production of 'Don Quijote y la Búsqueda de Marcela'
With a micro-cast of just two energetic performers playing many roles, the clever and amusing adaptation of Cervantes classic tale focused on the story of Don Quixote and the quest of Marcela. Performed almost entirely in Spanish and with the use of inventive props, lighting and amazing scenery, the play entertained an enthusiastic crowd of Woodhouse students, 51 pupils from The Compton School and another 31 from Thomas Mill High School in Framlingham, Suffolk.
Student Toni Babarinde said: "I thoroughly enjoyed this play, especially the element of humour that was used, as this allowed me to engage with the characters. Furthermore, the use of both English and Spanish allowed me to fully understand the story, thus enriching my experience. I would recommend this play to anyone who not only wants to improve their Spanish but gain a deeper insight on Spanish culture and society".
